Brian has been a practical first aider for 30 years, assisting as a volunteer at numerous public events. He has been teaching and assessing HSE-approved first aid courses since 1996 and has worked for First Aid Training (Bath Ltd.) for the past 10 years. A keen sailor, Brian has been a member of Severn Area Rescue Association (Chepstow Lifeboats) and T.S. Adventure Sea Cadets, he also teaches Royal Yachting Association first aid courses for water sports.

Brian received the gold medal award from the RYA in 2010 for services to the community.
