Where can I park my car?
Our venue at St Philip & St James Church is on the outskirts of Bath and is easy to locate. It is easily accessible from Bristol and Somerset. There is plenty of parking available in adjoining roads in the vicinity.
What are the times of the courses?
Our courses start at 9.15 am and finish at approximately 4.15 pm. There are breaks for refreshment and lunch. There is a supermarket close at hand and a hot food shop next door so you can purchase food to eat on site or bring sandwiches. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available through the day.
How should I dress for this course?
Please wear casual clothes and comfortable footwear.
Is there any manual work?
As you can see in the photographs we practice resuscitation techniques on a Resusci Anne mannequin, the recovery position and bandage dressings. If you have any physical problems or disabilities the tutor will be pleased to assist.
What if I have disabilities?
All our courses are inclusive. This means that we welcome everyone. If you have any physical, learning, literacy or language problems the tutor is there to help you at all times.
Is there any assessment?
The three day and two day requalification courses do require some written work and practical demonstrations. This shows that you are a safe First Aider. The tutor will thoroughly prepare you.
Is it a comfortable venue?
There is a comfortable training room and a kitchen where you can make coffee, tea and lunch. Warm and easy to access.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, all our courses will provide an appropriate certificate. First aid course certificates require updating every three years.
