Who is this Course for?
A knowledge of First Aid is essential for everyone who works in a school or early years environment. We specialise in teaching staff, both teaching, non-teaching, and child minders to primary school level in administering first aid to colleagues and pupils. We will provide training at your venue or you may wish to visit us at our venue in Odd Down, Bath
Course Objectives
To enable all those who work in an early years centres, and primary school settings to assess, manage and deal with any likely accidents, illnesses and mishaps that may occur with young children.
Course Contents
- Assessing and Managing - First aid situations, how to ensure the safety of yourself, children and colleagues.
- Emergency Procedures - Up to date practice in administering cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, AED training, the recovery position, dealing with choking , head injuries and shock.
- Accidents - How to deal with a range of minor and serious accidents, from minor cuts to fractures, advice on how to liaise with parents, first aid box contents, accident books, recording and reporting.
- Health Conditions - Including asthma, diabetes, croup, meningitis, epilepsy, panic, and heart attacks.
Course Duration
This is a One Day attendance and approx. six hours online training course.
Qualification
Paediatric First Aid Level 3 (that is Ofsted Approved) - valid for three years, certified by First Aid Industry Body.
